Cemetery Queries

Most potential cemetery queries can be answered with a careful review of Robertson County Cemeteries, where all known cemetery information is posted online.  This page includes burial lists, maps, driving instructions, GPS coordinates, & closest towns/communities for all of Robertson County's 155+ known cemeteries.  If someone has adopted a cemetery, contact him or her at the e-mail address listed at the top of the cemetery list.  If you do not know the name of the cemetery where a relative is buried, use Search This Site to determine the burial location.

Census Queries

Most potential census queries can be answered with a careful review of the available census years listed at Census Records & the following information.  No online indexes or typed transcripts currently exist for the 1870, 1880, 1900, 1910, 1920, & 1930  handwritten census records for Robertson County.  The only way to review the contents of these records is to go through each census year line-by-line yourself.  This is a time-consuming and difficult process since the handwriting is sometimes faint and difficult to decipher.  Given the hours and hours of research that would be required to look for a single name or group of names, no census look-up service is available.  It is also highly unlikely that anyone has information about your family's precise location in the census data.  Researchers can either review the online information themselves or go to a National Archives regional office, closest Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints Family History Center, or other local library and conduct a Soundex search to determine where relatives might appear on census records for different years.  Then, after you have identified where each record is located, access the census data at this site and go to the correct year, enumeration district, page, and line number.
