The Root Seekers Genealogical Society is organized as a nonprofit, educational organization, managed by a Board of Directors. Its purpose is to further the development of genealogical research and to act as a training agency for people interested in genealogical research, to acquire a collection of genealogical and historical material, and to make the information available to others doing genealogical research.
Regular meetings of the Society are on the third Monday of each month at 7:00 PM, except December, at the Tri-County Library on Main Street, Mabank, Texas, which is located in the southeastern corner of Kaufman County in the tri-county area of Henderson, Kaufman, and Van Zandt.
