Runnels Rites for Mrs. Taylor Mrs. Mack Taylor, 86, resident of Runnels county for more than 70 years, died at 3am Sunday in Ballinger Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 2pm Tuesday in Allen Davis Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. She was the former Collie Jewell Rayburn and was born February 25, 1885 in Mississippi. She came to Runnels county in 1900 with her parents. The family settled in the Norton community. she was married to Mack Taylor in 1913 in Norton. he died Oct 14, 1918. Mrs Taylor moved to Ballinger in 1920 and worked as an assistant to a Ballinger dentist for more than twenty years. She was a member of the Christian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs Tom Penn of Austin; two brothers, John B Rayburn of New Mexico and M.I. Rayburn, Jr. of Douglas, Ariz; two sisters, Mrs A.D. Barnett of Ballinger and Mrs R.L. Rogers of Ft Worth; a grandchild and three great-grandchildren."
