Funeral on Monday For Mrs. Jenkins
Mrs. Lister T. (Ruby) Jenkins, 75, of Coleman, died at Baptist
Memorial Hospital in San Angelo. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Monday, July
7, in Stevens Memorial Chapel.
Officiating were Rev. Chester Wilkerson and Rev. Archie Phillips. Interment
was in the Coleman City Cemetery with funeral arrangements by Stevens Funeral
Home.
Born on June 28, 1900 in Runnels County, she was the daughter
of Bill and Sally Meadows Gray(see note below). She married Lister T.
Jenkins in Winters on March 12, 1919. He preceded her in death in 1970.
She lived most of her life in Runnels County, moving to Coleman
in 1958. She was a member of the Methodist Church at Crews.
She is survived by five daughters, (snip), three sons (snip), 21
grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and one brother, Will Gray of
Dublin.
Pallbearers were J. D. Lee, Roy Lee, Carl Pearson, W. E. Robertson, Gordon
Robertson, Mennis Mathis, and Clovis Jennings. |
