Looking for information on SAMUEL PORTER MIDDLETON, b. 1806, SC, d. 1859, Goliad Co., TX. Samuel P. Middleton arrived in De Witt's Colony, Dec. 30,1829. He married (1) MARY TURNER, daughter of WINSLOW TURNER, Sr., in 1833, Jackson Co. Marriage Records. (2) Mrs. Emily Eliza Dunbar in 1855. Children of Samuel P. and Mary Middleton: (1) Elizabeth Anne (Lauderback), (2) William Charles, (3) John A. (m. Mary S. Parker, their children: John Leslie, m. Katie Fuller and Eva, m. I am searching for my husband's grandmother, LUCINDA SMITH, born in 1874 in Texas.  She married ANGUS JEFFERSON (BUD) LEWIS.  They lived in Moscow, Polk County, Texas.  Lucinda's parents were born in Mississippi according to the census.  I am told that Lucinda died in 1936 in a Houston Hospital and is buried in the oldest cemetery in Livingston, Texas.  Any information on her would be appreciated.  Please contact Juanita Joyce Lewis at
