VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD

 

 

 

 

 

TO ALL PARTNER SOCIETIES:

 

 

Each Partner Society is invited to nominate one of its members for recognition as the Volunteer of the Year. One winner will be selected and receive a $50.00 cash award plus a plaque.  The partner society which nominates the winner will also receive $50.00.  Judging criteria include 30 points for genealogical or historical research, 35 point for service to the society, 10 points for service to the community, and 25 points for service to the local or genealogical library.  Nominations may be made by letter, booklet, or folder with examples in the form of your choice.  The service must have been within the last two years. The nominee must be a member in good standing in the Partner Society at the time of nomination.

 

Deadline for entries is September 15, 2009.  Send letters of recommendation along with supporting statements or documentation of the member’s service to:

The award will be presented at the Texas State Genealogical Society Annual Conference Awards Banquet on  November 6, 2009 San Antonio , Texas.
