Can you help identify the people in these photos?
This photo was inherited by a descendant of Mary Virginia Herring Whitman, but her name is unknown.
These below and on the following pages were inherited by a granddaughter of D. W. Gaddy and Maggie (Low) Gaddy.
Maggie, daughter of James Milton Low, married D. W. Gaddy in 1910. He came to San Saba in 1899. As a circuit preacher he went to many of the little towns around San Saba, so some of the pictures could be of parishioners who lived in one of those communities. D. W. and Maggie also owned and ran the Gaddy Hotel which was across from the Courthouse, but was torn down in the mid 1940's. |
