FEDERAL Census Records
~Swisher County became an actual organized county until
July 17, 1890~
1880 CENSUS
There was a listing for Swisher County during 1880, however, the July
1, 1976 edition of the Kress Chronicle reports that only four individuals
were listed as being in Swisher County, and they were mustang hunters that
were temporarily in the area. They were:
Dempsey FORREST - 53, Male, White, Mustang Hunter,
Louisiana
Alexander M. LOFTUS - 28, Male, White, Mustang
Hunter, Mississippi
Thomas S. MC CLELLAND- 26, Male, White, Mustang
Hunter, Virginia
David W. VAN DELINDER - 27, Male, White, Mustang
Hunter, Illinois

1940 to 1990 CENSUS
