You will find here a listing of volunteers and the resources they
are willing to check for you. Because of our desire to comply with the
TXGenWeb Policy concerning look ups, we ask that you
follow these simple guidelines when asking for help.
-
Provide enough information to identify the person you are seeking. Send
something more than just a name, but less than a life history.
-
Please limit your request to one name and one resource
per request. (except as noted in policy)
-
Don't forget to thank the volunteer for their help and, as payment, we
ask that you help others when the opportunity arises.
-
There are no fees for this service. If you are asked for more than
reimbursement for photocopies and postage, please notify
Rob Yoder.

TXGenWeb's Official
Policy
TXGenWeb will not tolerate any copyright violations. Look-up requests
should be limited to one name, or perhaps two if it is a married couple.
Information given will be minimal, for example if it is a cemetery look-up,
the information will be the name of the cemetery and the dates on the headstone.
Please do not ask for "everybody with X surname" or an entire family group,
or for hardcopies to be mailed; the volunteers have been asked not to comply
with such requests.
Our look-ups will extend to searching the book to determine if the book
would be helpful to you in your research. Should the book prove useful, we
can provide the authors address and ordering information.
If you own or have access to Tarrant County Resources, and will do "look-ups,"
please contact Rob Yoder. Volunteers
are always needed and highly valued at this site.
In memory
of
Linda Surratt-White
(1942-2002)
Linda was a Look-Ups volunteer for Tarrant County TXGenWeb for several
years. She was called to Heaven August 9, 2002. For the last year of her
life, she participated in our on-line version of our Look-Ups program creating
the two forums below. They have been left in place to honor her memory. |
