a.k.a. Tate Springs Cemetery
Ray Gammon, unofficial historian for Tate Springs Baptist Church, found the arched sign for Tate Cemetery lying in high grass in a state of disrepair. It had been there for many years. He obtained permission from the City of Arlington and took the sign to his shop for repair. The photo above shows the sign at his shop. Photos below show the repaired sign back in its rightful place, new poles and all. The entrance to Tate Cemetery is located in the 4200 block of Pleasant Ridge Road, one block east of Kelly Elliot Road. The cemetery is about 100 yards up the unmaintained driveway beyond the sign.

Thank you so much for posting the pictures of the sign repair at Tate Cemetery. The last time I was there it was on the ground and not in very good shape. I'm really glad to see it back up. Evan C. Tate, who originally owned the land where the cemetery is, and who was the first one buried there, was my great-great-grandfather.
