Their first child, Earl, was born in October 1880, so they may have been married in 1879 or so. I'd appreciate any help--I have not been able to find any record of James Moody who died in May, 1887 and is buried in Lonesome Dove Cemetary. REPLY: Moody-Simmons marriage not found. -Barbara

Rowland (sometimes spelled roland, rolin) and Molly Mary Martin. Newton lived in Tarrant County with his uncle, Jud Rowland. Newton was supposedly a Texas Ranger. He met Mary (an Osage Indian) while relocating the tribes to Oklahoma, stole her away and married her. I was hoping he brought her to his family in Texas for a wedding. They were probably married in the mid 1870's. Thank you. (Great site, I found tax and death information on Jud Rowland in several places) REPLY: Not found under any spelling. Remember marriage records begin in 1876 due to the courthouse fire the same year. -Barbara
