Welcome to Van Zandt County Old Newspaper Articles from the Wills Point Chronicle 1940 Newspaper articles are a fantastic source for researchers looking to add to their knowledge of their ancestors who lived in Van Zandt County. Shirley Fuller and Sibyl Creasey extract articles from the Canton Herald and the Wills Point Chronicle for a weekly column entitled "This Week in Canton History" and "This Week in Wills Point History." The following are the articles that have been extracted and published. In addition, other articles have been passed along to us and we will be adding more as time goes by. If you have an interesting article about an old Van Zandter, we would be most happy to post it on this website. Just email it to Sibyl. And please let us know if you would like a copy of the original article from the microfilm.
