Jack Pollard of Smith County, Texas, is the youngest son of Thomas G. Pollard and Edna Martin Pollard. Both of his parents were born and raised in Van Zandt County. He is a retired CPA with a BBA from the University of Texas and an MBA from SMU.

The program is on his Dad's life from birth in Martins Mill until as a State Senator he moved from Edom to Tyler, Texas. These stories are from the book his mother wrote on his Dad's life. The stories provide interesting information, facts and stories from the book about on why they and other settlers moved to Van Zandt County and many family traditions.

There is a book in the Van Zandt County Genealogy and History Library about Mr. Pollard. Jack will give a power point presentation on the book "Dad".

Jack says this program is very informal in a conversational style. I encourage questions and interruptions as we go.
