Samuel Love Cole

Samuel Love Cole was born July 1836 in roane County, Tennessee to Samuel Cole and Anna Johnston. Samuel Love Cole married Margaret L. Willson in Roane County on26 Nov 1856. He joined Co. F of the 43rd TN Infantry and served during the Civil War. They came to Texas after the war and were in Kaufman County in 1870 and in Van Zandt County in 1880. Margaret died and is buried at White Rose Cemetery. Sam then married a second time to Mary Elizabeth Coker. He died 27 Oct 1900 and is presumed to be buried at White Rose Cemetery but without a marker.
