CONFEDERATE SOLDIER IS CANDIDATE Wills Point Chronicle
July 2, 1914L. DAVIDSON
Candidate for County JudgeIs 67 years of age. Has lived in the county for more than 60 years. Most of his life spent on a farm. Twelve months in the Confederate army, and the last eleven years in the law at Canton, Texas. Has been fairly successful in the law, having met the best lawyers in the county in both the lower and higher courts, and defeated them.
His prospects to secure the nomination
He has already a very strong support in all sections of the county. In fact it is generally admitted that his chances are good to secure the nomination, but would GREATLY appreciate a candid consideration of his claims by those who have not already settled on their support of him.
His Life's course
Has always given his open and unstinted support to the moral side of every question agitated by the people and stood for the best moral and material up-lift of the citizenship of the county.
Believes in a Business Administration of The Affairs of the County
What the people want is an unpretentious, economical, fair and impartial, business-like administration of the affairs of the county, and Mr. Davidson has a host of friends who are enthusiastically urging his claims from a business standpoint.
