Wills Point Chronicle

December 29, 1910

J. N. Gunn, who has been sick with pneumonia for the past two weeks, died at 9:30 this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. M. Mills.

Mr. Gunn, who was 68 years of age, was born in Choctah county, Alabama. He served four years in the Confederate cavalry, enlisting from Mississippi, where he went when he was 15 years old. Mr. Gunn came to Texas in 1895. He was married shortly after the war, and raised a family of eight girls and one boy, all of whom survive him except his son and one daughter.

The funeral will take place tomorrow at 10 o'clock at the Mt. Pisgah cemetery.---Canton Herald
