Van Zandt County Grand Jury, 1894
This newspaper clipping is from the late Mrs. Aude McWilliams collection. It is owned by her daughter, Mrs. Hazel (McWilliams) Goode McEnturff, wife of Eddy McEnturff of Edgewood, Texas. This picture of the 1894 Grand Jury was printed in the 1916 paper.

Text beneath the photo: Mr. G.A. Owens of this city made his way into our office a few days ago and swung from under his arm the above photo. "This," said he, "is the Grand Jury that served the April term of district court in the year 1894-more than twenty -two years ago". Standing from right to left: Tom Falls, John Bob Wallace, John Thorn, G.A. Owens, Josh Waldron, Freeman Hubbard, Pone Chrestman, Tom Wood. Sitting right to left: Fletch Barfield, T.Z. Woodhouse, Judge Bill Haynes, Dave Chancy, Bill Bratcher. Judge Bill Haynes whose likeness appears in the group was county Attorney: T.Z. Woodhouse was _____, Gordon Russell District Atty. and F.M. McCord District Judge. Since the sitting of these gentlemen, five of them have passed to their reward, namely: Tom Woods, Bill Bratcher, Freeman Hubbard, Dave Chancy and Judge Haynes.
