Christopher Columbus Tyler

Christopher Columbus Tyler was born in 1848 in Copiah County, Mississippi. He served under his father, Capt. Daniel Cooper Tyler, during the Civil War. He married Mary Elvira Thompson on July 13, 1871 in Van Zandt County. She was born 1852 in Van Zandt County, died March 14, 1939. Christopher resided for a long period of time in Van Zandt County but later moved to Denton County where he died on September 17, 1939. It is believed that he is buried in Van Zandt County but in an unmarked grave. (Information from descendant Brody Tyler)
