Our Heritage

Van Zandt County Genealogical Society

The Van Zandt County Genealogical Society publishes a quarterly publication entitled "Our Heritage." This publication is mailed to society members all over the world. The genealogical society's membership has grown to around 600 yearly, second in size in Texas only to the Dallas Genealogical Society. Due to a space problem at the Library of Genealogy and Local History located in the courthouse annex in Canton, the society has discontinued offering back issues of "Our Heritage" for purchase. However, all issues from 1981 to 2002 have been scanned and are on a CD which is available for purchase by sending a check or mail order for $20 to the Van Zandt County Genealogical Society, P.O. Box 1388, Canton, TX 75103. On these pages, we have placed the contents pages of back issues of the quarterly. Copies of articles are available by writing to the society and sending a check or money order for $3 to cover copying and postage. See Membership Page for details on joining the society.
