The information from this old Van Zandt County Treasurer's Ledger is from the original on microfilm located at the Van Zandt County Library of Genealogy and Local History. The original book is housed at the County Courthouse and was microfilmed in 2008 as part of the society's Courthouse Archives Project. This information will give the researcher an idea of the workings of county government during the early 1870's and will also confirm the residency of ancestors during this period of time.
