Beth Gordon: Membership Chairman, 2013

The Van Zandt County Genealogical Society was organized in 1980. From just a handful of members that lived locally, the society has grown to a membership of approximately 500 annually with members from all over the United States. From the beginning, the society has published a quarterly publication "Our Heritage" which has received several first place awards for excellence through the Texas State Genealogical Society's annual writing competitions.

Members receive this fine publication by joining the society. "Our Heritage" is published in February, May, August and November each year. The term of membership runs from January to December. Those joining after March 15 must include an extra $5 for mailing quarterlies.

Memberships are $10 for an individual; $12 for a family; and $20 for out of USA

Queries are always welcomed, and are published in the quarterly free of charge for members and non-members alike. Just send to: Van Zandt County Genealogical Society, P.O. Box 1388, Canton, TX 75103, attn: Query Editor.
