The other James E. Moore
James E. Moore and Josie Faulk Family

In 1846 James Moore and Cynthia Hardcastle sold out in Hardeman County Tennessee and headed, with their children, for Fannin County, Texas to see James' sister Mary Kerr and brother Curtis Moore. James and Cynthia were headed to Van Zandt County, and took Curtis' oldest son, (and James' namesake) by his first wife Fanny Twitty, with them on the trip to Canton.
This is the nephew of James Moore and the son of Curtis Moore. James E. (Elbert?) Moore was born 20 Nov 1833 in Crawford County, Missouri and died 2 March, 1899 near Myrtle Springs.
He first married Elizabeth Jane Bivens, the daughter of John George Washington Bivens and Naomi Hill, in Van Zandt who died at the birth of their only child, Elizabeth James Moore in 1865.
October 7, 1869 he then married Jane Elvina Josephine "Josie" Faulk, the daughter of Levi Benjamin Faulk and Savannah Sloan.
James and Josie had 5 children.
James, Yuba and Lorena Scott, Josie Faulk Moore.
Corbin, Yuba, Nevada, and Elizabeth Moore Scott, and Fenton.
During his lifetime James Moore amassed considerable property and wealth. Moore Cemetery is on his property.
