Family Information Rev. West D. Lovelady and wife Malinda Callaway Lovelady of the Hopkins County and Van Zandt County areas had the following children:
Sarah Elizabeth Lovelady married Edward Marshall King. He died about 1899-1900 and she then married James Finley of Denton. E.M. King was a member of the Frontier Battalion, the early Texas Rangers. Sarah died in Oklahoma and is buried there.
Martha Lovelady, who was for a time, an "old maid," married late in life to James Barfield and raised his children. She was known as "Jennie."
Mary "Mollie" Lovelady married a Byrd and moved to Oklahoma.
Larkin L. Lovelady died as a very young man, of disease, on his way to the Civil War.
Rhoda Lovelady married Thomas Clarence Burns of County Wicklow, Ireland, who came in 1860-61, and was in the regular army during and after the Civil War; then while working on the railroad moved to Texas and married Rhoda in Van Zandt County.
Malinda Callaway and West D. Lovelady were from the Noxubee, MS area, and came to Texas about 1854. He was a Methodist minister.
