Information as reported by

Delores Diane Nielson

The above photo is of James Walker Corley and his family on a Sunday picnic sometime between 1899 and 1900. The gun was taken along to protect them from Indians and wild animals. Notice the small flower bouquets that the children are holding. Shown are: J. W. (Jim), Sallie Ann (aka Sadie Gaynell), Minnie Lee, Katherine Madeline (Kate, seated) and Cuemillie holding Willie Blanche. Seated are John Allen and Catlic Beard (C. B.). J. W. and Millie also had a son, Gerome, who died in 1904 and a daughter, Thelma Ruth, born in 1903. John Allen is the son of J. W.'s first marriage with Fannie Shell. Anyone interested in this family can contact Delores Diane Nielson.
