Early Wills Point, Texas Submitted by Betty Pickens Phillips
These were the streets of Early Wills Point, Texas. Notice the dirt streets with the wagon wheel ruts, the horses and buggies parked in front of the stores, the old Rose Dry Goods building, the covered wagon coming down the street, the well in the middle of the street, many poles for telegraph or maybe electricity, and the railroad tracks almost hidden by the dirt on the road. Wills Point looks like it was a busy little town. Thank you, Sarah, for sharing this picture.
This photo of Early Wills Point, Texas, Van Zandt county, belongs to Sarah Howell of Wills Point, Texas and was a part of the collection of her father, the late Wade Howell.
