Walker County, Texas was organized 6 Aug 1846 by an act of the State of Texas Legislature.  The area was originally named for Robert J. Walker of Mississippi, who introduced into the United States Congress the resolution for the annexation of Texas; because he was a Unionist during the Civil War, however, in 1863 the state legislature changed the honoree to Samuel H. Walker

  Mustang Cemetery Work Party

Time: 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.
We are going to have Hamburgers and Hot-dogs this year. Glenn will bring his pit to cook and will eat lunch about 12:00. Please bring your Owen drinks and tools. You do not need to bring lawnmowers maybe a weed eater. Remember your Chairs and your ice chest. Please let me know if you are coming so I can have a head count and please bring the kids.
