I am searching for information on Joe Joskins, supposedly from
Huntsville, Texas, born about 1844. He was in the 5th Texas Regiment, Company A,
of Hood's Texas Brigade in the Civil War. In June 1865, he wrote "A Sketch of
Hood's Texas Brigade," often cited as a resource in books on the Civil War.
Unfortunately, his name is not on the unit roster, and does not come up anywhere
else. His book cites Huntsville as the place of publication.

I wonder if anyone would happen to know where in Walker County this church would
have been located. It is the Holly Springs Baptist Church, which existed in
1895. I've tried to search the site & the web, but have come up with nothing.
Thank you. Suzy Burt
