Drake Peddie - "Privateers: Pirates or Patriots?" - Infamous Privateer Jonathan Haraden in full uniform from Salem speaks about the history of privateering before and during the American Revolution and how it benefited the American cause. He then tells several enlightening stories about some of his personal adventures on the high seas during the Revolutionary War.

Drake Peddie - is a native Texan, born and raised in Houston. He went to University of Houston and graduated in 1978 with BS in Electrical Engineering. He has worked in the defense industry for the majority of his 30+ years since then and lived in the Richardson/Piano area since coming to the Dallas area. He is a Texas Professional Engineer and a Texas Licensed Real Estate Broker. He has been in the SAR for over 6 years and was sponsored by Past President General Nathan White. He is the current President of the Plano Chapter and an active member of the Texas Color Guard Where he does about 25-30 events per year. He does several presentations like this one as part of the Plano Chapter speakers bureau, this one as a privateer has proved to be the most popular.
