The PIONEER FAMILIES OF WILLIAMSON COUNTY certificate is available to those people directly descended from any person who resided in Williamson County, Texas on or before December 31, 1880.

This beautiful 8 ½ x 11 certificate is printed on high quality certificate paper and carries the embossed seal of the Williamson County Genealogical Society. The certificate is suitable for framing and announces to all your pride in your heritage.

To receive this certificate, direct descendants must submit proof of such descent as well as proof of the ancestor’s residence in Williamson County prior to December 31, 1880. A fee of $10.00 per application must also be submitted. If you feel you are among the select group who qualify for this certificate, complete the application form, follow the instructions included with it, and mail the application, applicable documents, and a $10.00 check made out to WCGS to: Pioneer Certificate Chair, Williamson County Genealogical Society, P.O. Box 585, Round Rock, Texas 78680-0585.

More than 300 certificates have been issued since this program was instituted. See the list of Pioneers of Williamson County whose descendants have been awarded certificates. The files of those families to whom certificates are issued will become one of the most prized possessions of the Society and will provide a valuable resource to others studying the history and genealogy of Williamson County.
