Petra Velasquez
FORT STOCKTON — Petra Gomez Velasquez, 89, of Lubbock, a homemaker,
 died Friday, Oct. 17, 2003, in Lubbock.
Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. 
Burial will follow in Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements
 by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.

She was born in Fort Stockton and moved to Kermit in 1962 and 
to Lubbock in 1983.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Gerardo (Lalito) Velasquez of Odessa, 
Joe Del Velasquez of Lubbock; daughters, Francisca Viola Acosta
 of Dallas, Adelaida Dominguez of Midland, Yolanda Mendez of Lubbock;
 brother, Sabino Gomez of Fort Stockton; sisters, Jesusita Gomez 
and Sarah Gomez; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
