MONAHANS - Jose Angel Vargas, 29, of Grandfalls died Sunday, Oct. 3, 1999, in a local hospital.

Rosary will be at 8 p.m. today in Harkey Funeral Home Chapel. Service will be at 11 a.m. 
Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church with burial in Monahans Memorial Cemetery.

He was born Oct. 9, 1969, in Kermit. He worked as a mechanic and was a Catholic.

Survivors include his wife, Elvira Garcia Vargas, and three sons, Freddie Vargas,
 Louis Vargas and Lorenzo Vargas, all of Grandfalls; his parents, Jose Garcia and
 Bessie Garcia of Grandfalls; his grandparents, Guliana Vernard and Maria Vargas, 
both of Monahans; two brothers, Randy Joe Vargas of Stanton, Ky., and Jamie Vargas 
of Monahans; and three sisters, Mary Sais of Odessa, Elsa Ozuna of Wickett and 
Sonya Hinojos of Monahans.
