Simona Porras

KERMIT - Simona Porras, 62, of Kermit died Wednesday, March 31, 1999, in an Odessa hospital.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday at 1208 Harrison. Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at 
St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in Kermit Cemetery. Arrangements are by
 Cooper Funeral Chapel.

She was born Sept. 9, 1936, in Redford and was a lifetime resident of Kermit. 
She was a homemaker and a Catholic.

Survivors include her husband, Concepcion Porras, and a son, Leo Porras,
 both of Kermit; nine daughters, Sabina Vejil and Sylvia Jeffery, both of Colorado Springs,
 Colo., Guadalupe Rubio and Nancy Carrasco, both of Kermit, Elvira Porras of Fort Worth,
 Rosa Brown, Rachel Garcia and Connie Garcia, all of Monahans, and Marge Stephenson 
of Arlington; five brothers, Raul Lara, Manuel Lopez and Albino Lara, all of Kermit, 
Isaac Ramirez of Andrews and Joe Lara of Odessa; 33 grandchildren; and 
16 great-grandchildren.
