ODESSA — Earl Franklin Tipton Sr, 50, of Odessa, a truck driver, died 
Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002, at University Medical Center Hospital in Lubbock.
Services will be at 11 a.m. at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel with the 
Rev. Raymond Bugg officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. 
Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home.
He was born in Mangum, Okla. He was Christian.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Dorthy Tipton of Odessa; sons, Ricky Tipton of Odessa, 
Earl Tipton Jr. of Jal, N.M., Christopher Tipton and Paul Tipton,
 both of Las Lunas, N.M.; daughters, Sherry Whiteurst and Lacosta Miller,
 both of Odessa, and Cherie Magness of Mena, Ark.; brothers, Danny Tipton 
of Odessa, Gary Tipton of Crane, Sherman Tipton and Otha Lee Tipton Jr.,
 both of Jal, David Tipton of Crane and Jerry Tipton of Gamaliel, Ky.;
 sisters, Margaret Fergusan of Goliad, Teri Henderson of Gamaliel,
 Kathy Johanson of Redding, Calif., Coleen Fulcher of Crane and
 Monica Buchanon of Galaton, Tenn; and seven grandchildren.t of Tyler; 
and granddaughter, Cassie Holt of Carrollton.
