 Esta Lee Beatrice Tye
KERMIT — Esta Lee Beatrice Tye, born Jan. 14, 1909, in Carbon, Texas, passed away Tuesday, 
Feb. 5, 2002, in Longview, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Tye, in 1996.
Esta Lee graduated from Carbon High School and John Tarleton College in Stephenville. 
She began working for the U.S. Postal Service in 1929 in New Mexico where she met and married 
Jimmy in 1931. They moved to Kermit in 1936 and they lived there until 1996.
She is survived by three sisters, Nadine Mowinckle of Houston, Margaret Seely of Longview 
and Topsy Yarbrough of Austin.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, at Cooper Funeral Chapel
 with the Rev. Henry Freund officiating. Burial will follow at the Kermit Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Cooper Funeral Chapel.
