Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at the Crestview Baptist Church in Midland with Dr. John Gerlach, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. He was born January 24, 1957, in Kermit, Texas, and married Lindy Leigh Mayes on July 7, 2000, in Midland. He was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. He grew up in Andrews and graduated from Andrews High School in 1976 and recieved his Bachelor’s Degree from San Angelo State University in 1981. Mike came to Midland in 1989 and had worked for Baker Petrolite for the last seven years. Survivors include his wife, Lindy Puckett of Midland, Texas; one son, Chase Puckett of Midland, Texas; one daughter, Taryn Puckett of Midland, Texas; a stepson, Justin of Phoenix, Arizona; a stepdaughter, Karli of Midland, Texas; his parents, Milton and Barbara Puckett of Andrews, Texas; one sister, Cindy Taylor of Midland, Texas; and his grandmother, Lotta Mae Long of Denver City, Texas. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 2304 W. Wadley, Midland, Texas, 79705.
