Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 19, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd., Waco, with Rev. Richard Creech officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Jacob Ryan was born October 19, 1995, to Ryan and Kimberly Shifflett in San Angelo. They moved to the Waco area in 1997, where Jacob Ryan attended Parkdale Elementary. Jacob Ryan completed his first grade year and was preparing to start his second grade year. He was instantly loved by all with his beautiful big blue eyes and bright shining smile. Jacob Ryan captivated all who met him with his charm and his fun loving attitude on life. Jacob Ryan was the most beautiful, gifted, talented, and intelligent son a parent could ask for and he was worshiped by both. Jacob Ryan enjoyed riding his scooter, skateboarding with his brother, soccer, and enjoyed playing practical jokes on others. He loved playing video games, Nintendo and Xbox, and always had to have Cartoon Network on. Jacob Ryan followed and worshiped his older brother and sister and loved them dearly. He always defended his family with his feisty temper and undying loyalty. Jacob Ryan will be missed every moment of everyday and will be loved eternally by his parents and siblings. Survivors include parents, Kimberly Machelle and Ryan Matthew Shifflett; sister, Ashley Machelle; brother, Cody Matthew, all of Waco; grandmothers, Kathy Arlene Lawrence of Galveston and Janie Ruth Logan of Waco; great-grandmothers, Velma Pearl Smith of Kermit and Pansy Mae Lawrence of Dayton; grandfathers, Wiley Matthew Shifflett of Odessa, Jonathan William Logan of Waco and James Randy Lawrence of Tennessee; aunts, Melissa Ann Lawrence of Waco and Jennifer Renea Richardson of Monahans; uncles, Damon Russell Shifflett of Galveston, Joseph Randy Lawrence of Tennessee and Gary Michael Richardson Jr. of Monahans; cousins, Vanessa of Monahans and Hailey of Waco; and many other family members and friends in Texas, Tennessee, Arkansas, and California.
