John Asel
KERMIT — John "Jack" Asel, 63, of Jal, N.M., an employee of El Paso Natural Gas, 
died Monday, Aug. 23, 1999, at Winkler County Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Kermit Cemetery with the Rev. Michael May 
officiating. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Home Chapel.
He was born in Rouseville, Penn., and has lived in Jal, N.M., for 43 years.
SURVIVORS: Sons, John E. Asel of Las Cruces, N.M., Terry J. Asel of Hobbs, N.M.; 
brother, Lee T. Asel of Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters, Ilene Reid and Irene Shreffler, 
both of Jal, N.M., and Pat Cook of Erie, Penn.; five grandchildren; 
and one great-grandchild.
