Robert ‘Bobby’ T. Proffitt Jr. 

KERMIT — Robert "Bobby" T. Proffitt Jr., 58, of Kermit, passed away Friday, 
Sept. 1, 2000, at Winkler County Memorial Hospital in Kermit. 
He was born May 26, 1942, in Cleburne.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the 
Rev. Henry O. Freund officiating.

Interment will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Rosehill Cemetery in Cleburne. 
Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.

He married Dolly Wilhite Oct. 30, 1999, in Las Vegas.
 He was Methodist and had been a resident of Kermit for 34 years.
 He was affiliated with the Sons of the American Legion Post #339 in Kermit.
 He was a contract pumper for Arco Company.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Ann Proffitt in 1970.

Survivors include his wife, Dolly Proffitt of Kermit;
 mother, Geraldine Proffitt of Cleburne; 
son, John David Proffitt and wife Gay Lynn of Cleburne; 
sisters, Sandy Rasor and husband Allan of Burleson and Charlene Comer of Cleburne;
 stepsons, Tony Halterman and wife Melissa of Wink, Garron Halterman and
 Jeremy Huffman, both of Kermit; and stepgrandchildren, Tori Halterman, 
Aaron Halterman, Carlee Halterman and Michelle Halterman.
