Herman Slaughter

KERMIT — Herman Slaughter, 91, of Kermit died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999, at his residence.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Grace Temple Baptist Church with the 
Rev. Johnny Lee Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Kermit Cemetery.
 Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel Inc.

He was born in Pauls Valley, Okla., and was a 63-year resident of Kermit. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Son, Jim Slaughter of Trinity, N.C.; daughters, Christine Wright of Kermit, 
Veneita Evans of Point Pleasant, W.V., and Linda Engle of Venus; sisters, Estell Johnson
 and Patsy Batchlor, both of Odessa; 18 grandchildren, 39-great-grandchildren and 
11 great-great-grandchildren
