Betty Smith
KERMIT — Betty C. Long Smith, 67, a retired nurse, died Friday, November 13, 1998,
 at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church 
with the Rev. Gary Seelau and Richard Cook officiating. Burial will be at Kermit Cemetery.
 Funeral arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.
She was born in Norfolk, Va., and had lived in Kermit for 27 years.
 She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Russ Smith Sr. of Kermit; sons, Rusty Smith of Carlsbad, N.M., 
Jeffery Smith of Kermit, Timothy Smith of Monahans; 
daughters, Jolene Roy of Clovis, N.M., and Melody Houchen of Overland Park, Kan.; 
brother, Robert S. Long of Rock Hill, S.C.; and ten grandchildren.
