S.V. Smith

KERMIT _ S.V. ``Shirley'' Smith, 72, owner of Oasis Builders Inc., died Monday,
 April 21, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Eastside Church of Christ with Brian McGonagill 
officiating. Burial will be at Cheek Cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Home Chapel.

He was born in Garner, Ark., and was a resident of Odessa.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Velma Pearl Smith of Kermit; sons, Stanley Kevin Smith of Martinez, Calif.,
 and James Owen Smith of Rogersville, Tenn.; daughter, Kathy Arlene Lawrence of Galveston;
 mother, Lois Mae Smith of Searcy, Ark.; brothers, Winford Smith of Beebe, Ark., J.C. Smith
 and Weldon Smith, both of McRae, Ark., and Dale Smith of Searcy, Ark.; 
sisters, Mabel Barnett of Kensett, Ark., Allene Pennington and Nelda Myrick, 
both of North Little Rock, Ark., Melva Summers of Shreveport, La., Dorothy Jones of Searcy,
 Ark., and Juanez Brister of Beebe, Ark.; and one grandchild.
