Vernice Tyler

JAL, N.M. — Vernice Tyler, 92, of Jal, N.M., a retired employee of 
Winn’s Department Store in Jal, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2000, 
at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church with the 
Rev. Tim Duncan officiating. Burial will be at Kermit Cemetery in Kermit. 
Arrangements by Calvary Funeral Home.

She was born in Rising Star and had been a resident of Wink before moving to Jal in 1954.
 She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Sammie Hight of Grandbury, Joyce Hill of Jal, 
Bea Grimes of Homer, La., and Betty Slawson of El Paso; 15 grandchildren;
 21 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
