in Local Hospital as Result of

        Injuries Received in Wreck

Mrs. J. L. Dutton, 30, wife of a Wink rig builder, died Friday noon in a local hospital from injuries received in a wreck on the Bankhead highway east of here Thursday morning of last week. Mrs. Dutton was one of ten victims of one of the most terrible wrecks ever seen here. The other parties injured in the wreck are doing as well as could be expected, doctors say, and only one, Mrs. W. W. Hemphill, of Kerens, Texas is still in serious condition.

Mrs. Dutton was unconscious when she was taken from the wreck by a passing motorist. The first man to arrive on the scene was driving a small car and could bring in only one of the injured. As Mrs. Dutton seemed in the most serious condition, he brought he in to Odessa, where she was given every care at the offices of Drs. Wilson and Headlee. She did not regain consciousness, however, before death.

Mrs. Dutton is survived by her husband, J. L. Dutton of Wink, and four children, three boys and a girl, as well as by her parents, who were present at the time of the wreck.

The funeral was held Sunday at three p. m. at the First Baptist church here, with Rev. S. F. Marsh in charge. Pall bearers included S. L. Thedford, J. C Friend, J. L. Hill, C. C. Lester, J. E. Guess, W. A. Barnwell, J. D. McMillan, and Dave McKelvie, all of Wink. Burial was at the Odessa cemetery.
