THREE KILLED,

          TWO INJURED

           WINK EXPLOSION

-------------------------------

Martin Smith, Albert Helms and R. C. Jackson are dead and D. H. Fisher and George Jackson are not expected to live, as the result of an explosion and fire which burned them severely at the bath house of the Republic Oil Company's lease, at Wink, Sunday night.

The men were cleaning up after a day's work in the field, according to Wink papers. They were using gasoline to cut the grease from their hands and their clothes were soaked with oil. The explosion of a small gasoline heater in the room set them all afire.
