Following the closure of the Family History Online Website run by the Federation of Family History Societiesn the entries from the Herefordshire Burial Index have now been added to the findmypast website under Parish Records Collection 1538-2005 burials. Whilst you can search the index for free, to view each entry costs 3 credits unless you have an Explorer subscription to findmypast which covers viewing all results. All of the burials from 1813-1839 have been added PLUS many pre-1813 not yet available in any other form.

Herefordshire Burial Index 1813-1839

The index for the complete county is available on CD-ROM, including a self contained Viewer. This ensures ease of use and good search facilities.
CD-ROM - £10.00, plus 50p postage & packing

Searches can also be carried out for surnames submitted by e-mail.
The search, if successful will include: parish, first and second names, abode, date of burial and age.

The Society has now begun to index the pre-1813 burials and if you would like to help with the transcribing, checking and typing of the data please contact Yve James.
