  • First column—Sequential birth number if the child is a female.
     
  • Second column—Sequential birth number if the child is a male. This number indicates the number of males whose births have been registered for the current year. In the record below, this child is the first male to be registered.
     
  • Third columnWho officiated at the circumcision.
     
  • Fourth columnDate and month of birth, according to the Christian calendar.
     
  • Fifth columnDate and month of birth, according to the Jewish calendars. When two dates are recorded for a male, the first is the birth date, and the second is the date of circumcision.
     
  • Sixth columnWhere was the child born?
     
  • Seventh columnClass (occupation) of the father, and names of the father and mother. This column usually indicates the place of residence of the parents.
