Rootsweb periodically publishes a list of new surnames that have
been added to their database. Each update is published by the month added. The lists are
contained in text file format. This is NOT a complete list and to view the details you
should search out the RSL database on Rootsweb. To search the
indexes listed here, open the text file, hit CTL-F and enter the word/surname you want to
search for. Instructions for contacting researchers are included in each text file.
Additionally, the UGS has just received a transcribed list of names
from Ukrainian church parishes. Use the same
method for searching for your interested surnames as you would on the RSL index lists,
mentioned above.
