RETIRED SMELTER EMPLOYE DIES George Robert (Bob) Johnston, 84, of 5020 No. Highland Ave., died Tuesday (October 31, 1950) in a local hospital. Mr. Johnston, a retired employe of the Tacoma smelter, was born in Canada. Coming to this state 50 years ago, he moved to Tacoma in 1910. He was a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God church and the the Loyal Order of Moose. Mr. Johnston is survived by a son, William R. of Tacoma; two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Lundstrom of Ellensburg and Rose of Seattle; a stepson, Douglas Small; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Harriet- Asmussen, and a sister, Mrs. Jeannette Goff, all of Tacoma, and three sisters and six brothers, in California and Canada.
