The original copies of these wonderful letters are still in possession of my mother, Pearla Rozell Peine Palmer, who received them from her mother, Thenia Ann Munson (Long) Peine who must have received them from her mother, Martha Ellen Beall Munson Long or perhaps she received them from her grandmother, Thenia Ann Damarell Beall. Elizabeth Dearing Damerell, who for the most part, the letters were written to, was living with her daughter Thenia Ann when she passed away. They have been organized into a notebook and are also available on computer disc. An index of the names appearing in the letters is available as well as a KEY to use with the index if the letters are read via computer screen.

My purpose and desire in making this public are that all can enjoy them. Hopefully the ancestors of those mentioned in the letters will have the opportunity to read them. Perhaps it will help with family research for some. I ask that you share with me any information you have or know of that would help identify Elizabeth Dearing's parents (John Dearing and Ruhamah Davis), her husband, Augusta/Augustine/Augustin/ Damerell/Damrell and his parents and siblings.
