St. Patrick's Cemetery, Robeson Street, Fall River MA
This cemetery was established in the 1880s. According to the staff, there are no records of any burials before 1891. Records of burials between 1891 and 1915 contain only a limited amount of information. Records after 1915 are much more complete. Most of the earlier burials are Irish, but there are some Portuguese and French as well. We have only transcribed those stones that are, or likely are, of Irish individuals, and others are included if they were on the same stone.

Plat 1 - Plat 5     Plat 6 -  Plat 23      St. Patrick's Cemetery Map

Transcriptions are completed of all existing stones of Irish burials for Plats 1, 2, 2A, 3, 5A, 5, 6, 7 and 8. (11/05)      Plat 9 in progress.

[Notes from Dan Sweeney: James and Mary were originally interred in St Mary's Cemetery in 1888 and 1894, respectively. When Hannah O'Brien, Mary's mother and my paternal GGM died, Sarah bought a lot in the then (relatively) new St Patrick's Cemetery and buried Hannah therein. In May 1905, Sarah had James and Mary moved from St. Mary's to the lot in St. Patrick's.] [Note from SRC - Dan wrote to me, "Poring over the SNEIRISH site, for entertainment as much as research, I found your listing for a William J. and Emma L. Sweeney in Plat #3. That discovery led directly to the identification and location of my paternal grandparents, my paternal great grandmother, and others of great interest, who are interred in that lot. In order to properly memorialize those ancestors, we've erected a stone adjacent to the flat marker of William and Emma. It would be great if that information could be added to the site that was the genesis for the whole thing."]
